The project

The main goal of this project was to gain practical skills in Power BI. To achieve this, I used a detailed vehicle collision dataset found on Kaggle, which allowed me to learn how to clean data and build effective dashboards.

What I learnt

• Learned how to use PowerBI: Independently learned and applied PowerBI to analyze and visualize complex datasets.
• Performed data cleaning and transformation: Successfully addressed data inconsistencies, handled missing values, and restructured raw vehicle collision data for analytical readiness.
• Developed dashboards: Designed and built dynamic PowerBI dashboards to present key insights on temporal trends, geographical hotspots, contributing factors, and victim demographics of vehicle collisions.
• Generated insights: Translated complex data into clear, actionable insights, providing a deeper understanding of urban traffic safety challenges in New York City.
