Kotaro's Revenge
Kotaro's Revenge is a 3D brawler
where the player takes on the role of a
cyberpunk ninja who must avenge his master.
To do this, he'll go from building to building trying to defeat all the enemies that
will prevent him from defeating the boss of MEGACORP, the scourge of
this world.
The player will have to vary between platforming,
dodging and fighting in this
adventure.
What I learnt
- One of our biggest challenges was to mix a fighting game camera with a shooter camera (because our player uses a grappling hook), so we prototyped a lot of things and used several different types of camera during the game depending on the situation.
- Another challenge was the gamefeel of the game. Giving a good feeling of exploration and combat is very difficult. We did playtests and took lots of feedback to get the balance right.
